The North has always been thought of as the quiet sibling of its popular sibling, East - the place where Singaporeans flock to for all things food and entertainment. Nevertheless, there're actually many things you can do and see in the North! So, for those of you who have just clinched a job in the North and don't know what's good 'round the hood, we got yo back!

Cheap and Good Food

There's nothing like cheap and good food to fill your tummies before and after your shift. If you're working late, fret not, the following are some places you can hit up for supper to fill your rumbling bellies!

1. Upper Thomson area: Supper Spots

Fatboy’s – The Burger Bar 

The Upper Thomson area is definitely THE place to go if you and your colleagues are hungry but can't decide on what to eat. With the many late-night supper options there, you'll be spoiled for choice! The following are some places we would recommend:

Here's one place that you can have fun for free! This park consists of a 1.5km long waterfront promenade, a 9 hectare park and a refurbished jetty. The park also has restaurants, fitness areas, venue for holding events, playgrounds and also, running and cycling tracks.

Save Cash with These Transport Hacks

Why spend unnecessary cash when you can save more? These are some transport hacks you need to know! 


1. Charging port at Ang Mo Kio Station

No portable charger? Give your phone a boost at the free charging ports available at AMK station. You'll have to bring your own plug and charging cable though!

2. Sembawang Shopping Centre Shuttle Service

Make use of the free shuttle bus services and save transport costs if you're travelling to Sembawang Shopping Centre! Download the shuttle service route here.

3. Gain City Megastore at Sungei Kadut Shuttle Service

Take their shuttle bus from either Yew Tee (every 8 minutes) or Choa Chu Kang (every 13 minutes) direct to the Gain City Megastore @ Sungei Kadut.
