Protecting yourself

You are your own first line of defense against the virus, that’s why taking care of your own safety is the most crucial step in keeping us protected. Here are some of the measures you can take as an employee or future employee:

  • Wear a mask at all times to keep yourself and others safe and only remove it to eat, drink, or wash your face
  • Monitor your temperature regularly and sound out if you have a fever or are not feeling well immediately
  • If you are feeling unwell, stay at home and inform your supervisor or manager that you will not be able to come into work
  • Sanitize your hands as often as you can and wash them frequently with soap and water
  • Avoid lingering around after working hours and head home immediately after work if you can
  • Practice safe distancing measures even with colleagues whenever possible

These are some of the measures that you can take to ensure your own safety and heighten the awareness of personal hygiene in your workplace. It is important that your employers put in place measures that protect you too. Here we highlight some big employers and the safety measures they have implemented in their workplace.

KFC

Apart from the countrywide stance on wearing masks at all times, KFC employees take their temperature twice a day to ensure that employees with a high temperature do not come into contact with others. Employees are also required to wash and sanitize their hands regularly to protect themselves, others, as well as customers.

In addition to these measures, KFC has also started implementing contactless takeaway. This allows employees to serve their customers’ orders without ever having to come into physical contact with them.

Contactless delivery is also an available option for customers. This allows contact between Pizza Hut employees and their customers to be heavily minimized, keeping all parties involved safe.
